Yoga

Movement for me has always been medicine but when I attended my first yoga class in 2019, I found myself flustered from simply holding an upward facing dog. The challenge had me hooked. If I can learn to be comfortable in these uncomfortable positions, then perhaps I could take that off my mat and apply it in my life. The yoga begins when you want out of the pose. It is this discovery of the self in yoga that makes it an empowering and unique practice in the world of fitness. No matter where I am in the world, I continue to find refuge on my mat. The quote, ‘when things change inside you, things change around you,’ embodies just this.

Focused on the classical Ashtanga method, I completed my 200-hour teacher training in January 2023 after being a dedicated practitioner for 2 years. Combining my yoga background with my experience in strength and mobility training has allowed me to develop a unique mixed-methods approach to movement that prioritises alignment, form and technique to build body awareness and foundational strength, hence ensuring optimal performance and injury prevention. This translates to a practice and teaching style that is both strong and graceful, challenging and grounding.
